For me, nothing graces my eyes more satisfyingly than a Model 19 with a four inch barrel. The dash does not really matter to me. They all fit and feel perfect and shoot far better than I ever will in this life. Plated? Oh, my god, yes. Think of the scarcity and value and pride of possession. Any Smith & Wesson revolver is precious. To have one in that model and that caliber and that finish, well, only in America. Go buy it. If you do not, your life forever will be one vast and surging regret.

I am late to this poll, but I will weigh in with my opinion. All things being equal, I would take the nickel. There is nothing wrong with SS but, I really like nickel Smiths. Just my 2 cents.

i have 1 nickel 19-5 , 1 66-1 and 1 blue 19-7 all 4" enjoy them all but voted for the 66 for outside use. , its great for camping.

The 66's finish would be lower maintenance. Stainless Steel will rust, but takes a longer time to do it. Minor scratches can be removed using a grey Scotchbright pad and Flitz, Simichrome, or Mother's Mag and Aluminum Polish.
