Which one to sell?

I just put a new SIG P210 on layaway. It's going to be a big expense, and I need room in the safe.

One of these has to go:

1) Colt 1911 series 80 (blue)

2) SIG P227 carry SAS

The Colt is still in production, and probably always will be. The SIG P227 SAS is discontinued. It's a fine piece, with good capacity for a .45 (10+1).

There is no shortage of excellent quality and reasonably priced 1911's in the world today. I'd let the Colt go as it would be easiest to replace . Of course, it could bring you less money that the 227...

I don't think current SIG products are going to stand the test of time. But if the Colt doesn't do it for you either, chuck 'em both.

Seems one is a range gun (Colt?) and the other a carry piece...then it depends ne which you need more.

I'd keep the Sig as the 210 is another range gun....the Colt would go.

you don't need a Colt 1911 especially not a 80. The more Sigs the better. Congrats on the 210, that is a seriously great pistol, love mine.

Thanks for the replies. The Colt was the suspect to go from the start. Glad I'm not alone in thinking this.
