Which Red Dot to buy

I have been waiting a long time to buy a Leupold delta point 3.25 moa but to no avail I have not been able to get one. So I am wandering if I should buy a Trijicon RMR 06 instead ? Or should I just wait for the Delta point. I would like to hear about warranties on both red dots. The price difference is about 200.00 dollars so is the Trijicon worth the extra money? I am to the point that I am tired of waiting.

I've used both and prefer the Deltapoint. My recommendation would be to wait. (or you could haunt e-bay, they come up new from time to time) I watch it regularly and if I see one at a good price I'm going to buy it to have for future projects so you'll have to be quicker than me.

I prefer a rm05g for a defense range optic. So there you go . Don't worry about what WE like but what YOU want. Then buy it . I have used 2 and 3moa dot to hunt with for decades on revolvers but like a larger dot for 25 yards and less.

You can get a delta point for 200less $ , 250 would be a great price as rmr's on amazon are 460ish now .

Try optic planet , SWFA and amazon . Plenty of the delta points out there .

and when you click "check availability" it says "estimated to ship within 29-38 days" IIRC it's been saying this for months now. I think the only place you can actually buy one now is from a private party. (ebay)

I ordered the Deltapoint 7.5 MOA from Sportsmansguide.com back in January. By signing up for a new account I got a great deal. Almost 319.00 which is really a good deal. Here's the catch though. It was backordered and estimated ship date was 2/3/2015. Well that day came and then the backorder date changed to 2/16/2015. I didn't hear anything yesterday so I emailed customer service. Now they are telling me it's backordered until 2/27/2015. I hope this date doesn't keep changing. :-( I'm getting impatient and thinking if I should just get the RMR06. But I got a really good deal. *Sigh*

They're probably just passing on the info that Leupold is giving them. I would just wait for the DP (but then I'm biased).

I assume the Delta Point has to be removed to replace the battery, right? How long does the battery last? How close is the zero once removed and replaced?

I agree with you. I'm betting Leupold is communicating this to many of the retailers. I"m just hoping it doesn't go another month and then get pushed out further. The waiting is making me go bonkers
