While we are complaining....

But wait!!

Have we really decided what bear-gun is the best or what is really the cheapest anything??

Discuss -

These issues have not been resolved to my satisfaction, and moreover, we particularly have not resolved such important matters such as the lingering unanswered question as to which, among red-dot sights priced below $50, is superior, why low-brass birdshot is really the best home defense load, why dog breeds we don't own are inferior to those we do, and which is truly better, Ford or Chevy. We might get to the bottom of these, if we collectively quit wasting our precious time quibbling over trivia such as current events, range reports, amusing anecdotes with no real edifying moral or point, erroneous assertions about outsize snakes, and so forth...

I has seen the black helicopter doin' a snatch.

That's no black helicopter, that's a UFO disguised as a black helicopter. I'm sure there's a thread for that, too!:D

I hate it for that poor sonuvagun being abducted. He's in for some mighty uncomfortable probing, I'm here to tell ya.

Well if you really think about it........ there are just so many topics, items, new products, news articles and current events to discuss. Can't discuss politics you know.......

There are those of us who have been here and have been into the hobby for a long time and those who have just figured out what GTG means. :) . What is old hat for some of us is brand new to others.

I know many younger guys who made fun of me for shooting an "old fashioned revolver" years back, and are now discovering that they are not so bad after all but know NOTHING about them and are now eager to learn.

You asked.....

Reading that made my head spin and my eyes cross.:) Larry

I like the term "zombie threads" that somebody came up with on here. Wish I'd thought of it myself.

Threads that come back from the dead.

I may have been the first... How cool if others use the term. Starting a term on a chatroom may be the highlight of my otherwise pretty boring life!! :p

A revived zombie thread has bit me in the butt once... That one about when I shot .380's through my 9mm.... Man I was happy when that thread died.

But then it came back!

And a whole new generation of posters get to tell me I'm a knob! :(

.

Even on the happy threads, Tim?:D

I couldn't figure out what you were talking about, & then it hit me! I have got to learn to proofread my comments better before I really embarrass myself & yes, contrary to what some people might think, that is possible!:o:eek:

When U live in the past the old threads are really new. It's fun to dig up old dirt. I still have the hand crank to my Model A.

I like seeing some of them. Interesting then is still interesting now. The ones I really love though are the ones like "I'll take it" when responding to a want to sell ad offering a like new 2 1/2" 19-2 in the box for $450 shipped. Only problem is the ad is from 2009. Then when he receives no reply,he asks "Is this still available?" Duh!

So I gave my mom a bear gun for mothers day after the dingos ate the baby and my wife speed walked home so fast that her sweat pants were about to catch fire from the friction.

Old Tex Mex, you look like the kind of man that Skeeter Skelton would have liked to have known. (You're not the one he used for his Dobe Grant character per chance are you?) I know that Dobe Grant was supposed to be Evan Quervo (sp), but you look more like I had imigined Dobe Grant to be. I think he was Skeeters best character!!!

What happens to me with them zombie threads is I'll be reading along with great interest, planning what I am gonna comment, and a page or two in I suddenly come across a comment I made way back when...

It's like Yogi Berra said: Déjà vu all over again.

I am not going to ask what that means. I don't want to get the thread locked.

It's o.k., just an old fashioned "extraction". These modern chopper reels can haul a man up nosebleed quick. This is the ultimate in "public transportation", 'cause sometimes there's just not time for a taxi.
But seriously folks, let's GET BACK ON TOPIC!!
