Who do you tell that you CC?

Before you tell ... ask yourself two questions.

1. What is their need to know?
2. What will they do with the information?

If fact, it is a good idea to ask yourself these two questions before you tell anything to someone else.

I tell alot of people. I tell my friends who are into guns and I tell those who are thinking about it. I also tell those who see me carrying a gun. I don't publicly state it though. I don't know why it has to be an uber secret, please don't link me the reasons. I've seen it before.

Broke that rule once...... I told my wife I carry a gun.

My wife and I got our carry permits together by taking an 8-hour class. She knows I carry but I don't talk about it with anyone. Most of my friends are gun people and we all carry when we can. We rarely talk about it among ourselves and never with non-gun people.

Hey there smart one. I don't tell them to be cool, I tell them so that we can have more gunowners which makes it better for all of us.

Why don't you just stop the snarky remarks and start acting like the grown up you say you are.

It's nobody's business that I carry, unless a police officer asks. One exception: at the recommendation of his brother-in-law, who carries concealed, I did check with the pastor of the small church I attend to be sure he had no problem with my doing so. He didn't.

I've been known to suggest that people in dicey situations obtain the license to carry, but that doesn't have to involve my saying that I hold one.

I have a 9mm MP Shield with a CC permit. My question is who do you tell that you CC?

My wife knows of course but no one else does. When we go to visit our kids I leave the gun in the car. I put it back in my pocket once we go out. But they do not see it nor do I tell anyone about it. Not my son and daughters and not the grandkids.

What do you guys do? And is there any good reason to tell them?

A couple other posters have already mentioned on what I was referring to.
Some things are better left unsaid, it is not necessary to tell everything you know and this subject is absolutely one of those things.

Just as you said in the OP you don't tell anyone about it. And there is no reason to tell anyone else.

I said from the beginning that I've told no one but my wife and it was actually my wife's recommendation for me to CC and she would tell no one!

I have agreed on more than one occasion with everyone who said "Tell No One" and I have told no one!

So what are you saying, that I should not have posted the question?
