Who else carries a wheel gun?

A revolver? Yes, every day since I took the oath back in the 80s. Been through some changes over the years. First a S&W 36, then a S&W 36-1, then a 15-?, then a 19, then I came to my senses and tried to carry the revolver I preferred and used as the house gun, the 28-2 I reworked to 45 ACP. In a Bianchi 5BH it carried easier than i thought it would. Moonclip for a reload and I was good to go. Now, I prefer a fancier bit of leather and have a few more N frame ACPs from which to choose. But the basic package is a 4", 45 ACP, strongside in leather. It is a comforting package.

I carry a revolver or two everyday. When I'm working it's a snub SP-101 or a K frame 64-2 or 65-3 backed up by a 340. Off the clock it's a 2" Model 12-2 or the 340. The Ruger is loaded with Golden Saber .357, the others are loaded with .38 135gr GDHP. I don't think I'm at a disadvantage with a revolver, if I do my part the revolver should get the job done.

yep everyday. I compete with revolvers and trust revolvers. I feel better with a firearm that has never been part of a disappointing experience like failure to feed or eject or go bang.
I know that if you carry a semi you get used to it but I have a constant nag in my brain about cocked and locked or having to rack a round or even just remembering to keep my left thumb out of the way!
I know from experience that when the **** flies you do what comes to your brain first and for me thats a good double action pull, target, front sight, bang. If it's life or death (and it better be if I have my weapon out) I want autopilot on my side, most definitely.
Revolver. everyday.

Yup. Mostly in colder weather where outer garments cover bulk of the cylinder. I like heavy loads for the multiple layers here in New England winters. Dan I like your choose of background, I use red or orange bandanas alot for pictures.

I'm still carrying my rust blue Model 36 no dash. I keep finding other options but none have managed to displace this one.

Most days I carry my 642-1 shown below on the left in a Safariland #16
holster. Stocks are Hogue's Blue Lava, and knife is a very sharp Piranha.

Occasionally I carry my Colt's Agent, 2nd from left, shown in a Baker
Pancake. Spegel extended boots.

Sometimes I carry my Charter Undercover in this S&W "dog ear" by
Wally Wolfram. 3rd from left.

Not very often because of weight, my Model 10 with 2" barrel in a
Lawrence Special Agent holster, Stocks by Grashorn, knife is a
Puma Prince.

I have been carrying since the early 1970s. Over that course of time I have carried many guns.

Now that I live out in the boonies the potential for city type problems is much lower. I tried a couple different guns PPK, 5906 model 60, S&W .380 bodyguard. I now carry a Riger LCR .38 in a pocket holster. Yes it does have some limitations. You can not draw from a seated position in a car very easily and under the best of circumstance will not beat Wyatt Earp to the draw. I'm armed, the .38+P is reasonably potent, so that sure beats leaving a bigger more powerful gun at home.

The gun and holster is quite small never been spotted by anyone that I'm aware of including a couple LEO buddies that were looking for a gun on me. I just grab it going out of the house.

Thats for normal casual going around, I'm heading to a potentially trouble area, I will have a XDs .45 in a inside pants holster. Going into the cities up here is getting rare as most anything I have to do I can do it out in the burbs. Doctors visit, going to the hospital to visit a friend or going to a funeral home to say good by is the few reasons to go to potentially problem areas.

I am not an auto pistol basher and don't think revolvers are perfect. That said 99% of the time, I carry a revolver and it's usually a 649 in my pocket or AIWB. The reliability, simple manual of arms and the smooth draw make the revolver a fine choice for civilians. I think more people should read Ed Lovette's snubby book.

When I'm going to be in town or anywhere around a bunch of people a "J" frame in my right front pocket is my main gun. I can have my hand in my pocket on the gun and that is the fastest way for me to draw. I may be wrong but I think that if I need to defend myself it will be fast, close and violent. Larry

EDC since 1971 - revo's my preference

As the title says.....got my first carry concealed in New York in 1971, since then lived in Missouri, Ohio, New Jersey, ending up in Virginia. Started with a Model 36, stepped up to a Model 60 for the stainless feature, then in early 2000" got a Model 637-2, don't mind the IL thing, never caused any trouble, but I did like the +P capability.

Always carried in OWB leather with a good quality, stiff belt.

Over all the years I feel very comfortable, and practice keeps the rounds where they belong which I have always believed is about the best one can do....feel proficient and confident with whatever you carry.

I own all sorts of handguns and long guns, and enjoy semis, SAA cowboy revo's, Milsurp and all for range and plinking, birds, skeet, etc.....but for EDC....it will always be a Smith & Wesson snubbie most likely until I head for the range trip up yonder (at least hoping it will be a northbound trip)!:D
