I have literally gotten rid of 3 Kahrs, a P380 and 2 P40's, 3 Glocks, a 22, 31 and 36, 2 Springfield XDs a 40 Service and a 40 Compact, and 4 revolvers, 2 Vaqueros a Blackhawk and a Redhawk and several others for the M&P platform. The only ones I kept were my 3 Colt 1911s, a E-Series SW1911SC(not my choice, present from the wife so it is still NIB), a Model 29, a M&P 360PD Air Lite, a 422 and a H&K USP 40.

While I haven't dumped every other platform, the ones I kept have a reason for hanging around, some very personal others just a quirky love for the gun. I sometimes think I am overly eat up with guns in general, but this takes the cake. I haven't never been this excited about a single platform in quite awhile, since I bought my first 1911. I ordered my 3rd & 4th M&Ps today, another 309700 M&P 40 FS and a second M&P 40c.

I bought my first M&P just about a month ago, I had shot several, but never spent any real time behind one or money on one. I found a local deal on the 309700 and snapped it up mainly for an investment, planned to turn it for profit later. Every time I opened the safe though, I found it in my hand. So I took it to the farm with me one Saturday and now I have literally put 1000 rds thru it since then and it has been accurate and flawless. It is a very fun gun to shoot and is ridiculously easy to control, even for my wife.

I guess I am late to the game on the M&P, but I am on the bandwagon now. I ordered several extra FS and Compact mags, and spent the rest of the profits from the sales for ammo.

Reading back thru that, I sound like a hormone raging pimply faced 16yr old......... :D

I sold off all of my Glocks except one G17 (and it just sits in the safe).

I bought a 9 full size and the 9c but did not keep them. I like the 3rd Gen s&w better. I do not like a striker fired pistol and I want a visable hammer and decocker/safety. I guess I am old and set in my ways.

I too have recently picked up a FS M&P- primarily due to my daughter laying claim to my XD 9. To be honest am happier w/ the M&P than the XD. Plan on using it in a future IDPA match. So far have no complaints and it fits better in my hand than the XD. Looking forward to see how well it does in competion

XDm's for me.......... and Glocks. ( for plastic)

Bought an M&P .45 FS and ditched my KelTecs (definitely good decision). Also, my wife wants an M&P and we'll be getting her one as soon as finances allow. She originally had a KT PF9 which she made me paint the polymer pink, but she had troubles hitting anything she aimed at (God only knows where the bullets were actually hitting because we couldn't see them). So we stumbled across a Sigma 9mm for $229 (with original box and two mags - 1 10rd and one 17rd). So we bought that for her, she went out to the range that day and promptly put 3 into the head of a silhouette target. And the KT hurt her wrist but the Sigma she likes. But like I said, we'll be upgrading her to the M&P (probably 9c) when we can.

Amazingly enough I managed to sell off the 2 KelTecs (pink one included) the same day we bought her gun. So what we got basically paid for her gun and my 1938 Mosin Nagant 91/30 which I conveniently found there while her background check was being done.

Got rid of my Glocks which I never liked and my Kahr PM9 which I bought for pocket carry but found not to feel good in a pocket due to the way it leans towards your inseam due to all the weight being in the slide and grip. Snubbies feel best for me in pocket and if I am going to carry on belt I will go with something that can handle more rounds. My choice was the M&P9c which has a nice round capacity versus weight ratio. It carries nicely OWB, the way I belt carry and fits my hand much better than any Glock I have owned, even the Gen4s. Plus I was able to get a manual safety which I like and am used to after shooting 1911s over 40 years. No more swiping non existant safeties off safe on Glocks anymore. :)

I got rid of my G21 SF with the cumbersome 1913 rail after buying and shooting my M&P 45 FS. Still have other Glocks, but don't plan to get rid of them. Will probably get more M&Ps, however.

I sold a Beretta 92-Compact to fund a M&P 9 full size.

I have other guns. I don't plan on going exclusively S&W in my collection.

Got rid of my G36 first to get an M&P 45c. Liked it so much, I'm now in the process of selling four more Glocks (24, 27, 23, 35) for more M&P models. I have a new M&P40 NMS coming from Bud's Police Supply as I write this.

After getting my M&P 9 the Glock was expendable and just got traded for a Ruger SR 1911. The M&P is the only polymer gun a have now. I do love that SR 1911 though.

I sold my Beretta 92FS, one of the best 9mms I ever shot, to get my M&P9. Man, I hated to get rid of that gun. Man, am I ever happy I got a M&P9. Both are keepers, but the gun budget dictated otherwise. Someone out there has a great 92FS. I have a great M&P9. So it goes. I win.

I just got a .40c, and I can forsee a couple more in my future. Love this thing! I guess the Glocks will be going soon....

I am actually going to look at a M&P FS today at Cabella's to see if it fits my hand better than my H&K USP.
