Who else is a fan of fiber optic sights?

Tritium sights for me.

My eyesight is pretty good still so I usually stick with what came on the firearm.

My PMR30 has fiber optics but it's a tack driver anyway so I don't think it's the sights. I put a red dot on my SIG P365 380 just to try it. I like it a lot but so far it's the only red dot. I put an Armalaser on my HellCat and Bersa Plus. A totally different experience to say the least. My M&P Shield Plus is stock and I don't see a need to mess with it.

I also have Berettas and PPKs where I truly believe that front and rear sights were an afterthought. They're still reliable and fun to shoot.

You have to go with whatever works for you especially when it's your main self defense firearm.

For the M&Ps I use for USPSA matches I would use nothing other than fiber optic sights. They are an excellent choice for that purpose.

Same as ChillyDog and many others, I have had a fiber for the front and black for the rear on most of my 'fun guns'. Except for my Ruger Mk IV, I had no red dots on handguns.

Until recently. My first center fire pistol to sport a red dot was my Springfield Armory Prodigy. I love it. Then I added a red dot to my HK VP9 Match. I can now move through steel plates much faster with these than I have in years. Slow fire on plates at 50 yard plates gives me consistent hits.

Another benefit? My 64 year old eyes get tired rather quickly at the range. The fiber and the red dots both seem to help reduce the strain and allow to me play longer.

The new Colt King Cobra comes with a very nice brass bead front sight. But, I was having trouble picking it up. I changed it out with a fiber optic sight and it works much better, for me.

I am a fan of FO sights. They really help my aging eyes acquire a sight picture under most lighting conditions. I have red and green and prefer red for bright sunlight and green for subdued lighting.

I prefer Maryann and some of her coconut cream pie; but being stranded on a desert island, I wouldn’t hesitate to show Ginger some of my survival skills.
My SD9 (2016) came with HI-VIZ sights. I like them A LOT.
Are these the type sights you are referring to?

My wife has TruGlo Fiber Optic sights on her M&P 9mm. We usually shoot outdoors so they are useful and bright. We have a backup M&P that I should install the same sights on.

I brought a G**** (cough, cough, cough) 43X MOS with the intention of putting a Red Dot Optic on it. This will be my first Red Dot so don’t know if I will like it. I may install Fiber Optic sights in case I don’t like the Red Dot.

I think they require light conditions that are too narrow to be practical for anything other than range use. When the conditions are right, they work great but if your sights are in any type of silhouette situation where the target is illuminated but the sights are not, you might as well have black on black target sights. For defensive guns, the only real option is tritium sights.

I had a pair on G19 years ago. Worked fine under the right light conditions. A friend talked me out of it. He has had it at least 5 years. He still loves it and no issues.
I had another G19 with TFO's. That is fiber optic with tritium sights. It worked even better but another friend talked me out of it. (Notice a trend here?) I wouldn't hesitate adding TFO's but lately have been buying guns equipped with Ameriglos.

I have had people argue with me that the brass bead is better than fiber optics, but I don't see how.
