Who else is caught in the pistol arm brace fiasco?

So, I've never bought a complete pistol... for that matter I've only bought 1 complete AR rifle (my first one).

I've bought several complete lowers with braces, and several stripped lowers.

I quickly learned that buying a complete upper and a complete lower, even from the same company, was cheaper than buying a complete firearm.

the PSA that came registered as a pistol? If the purchase form was marked PISTOL then its just a pistol.

First off, none of my guns are registered. There is no federal gun registry (excepting NFA), and my state has no firearm registration.

Yes, PSA transferred to me as a pistol on the 4473, but the ATF is now going to say that it was never a pistol, but a rifle all along, based on this new reg.

The stripped lowers transferred as "other", meaning that they could be built into either pistols or rifles. I build all my AR's first as pistols. That way, I can go back and forth as many times as I want. If you build an AR as a rifle, then it can only ever be a rifle, and if you install a <16" upper, you have bult an SBR.

It won't be the first time the ATF has changed its mind. One day a boot lace is a machine gun...then one day it's not. One day a reproduction shoulder stock on Broomhandle Mauser, a Luger or a High Power is OK, another day a reproduction on an Inglis and its an NFA item.

The worst of it is they know they can bleed you dry in the court room. Their lawyer is on the taxpayers' dime, yours is not.

The only thing consistent about ATF rulings is they are arbitrary and capricious. If it weren't for double standards, they'd have no standards at all
