Posted this before; have bought several Smiths since, but I still like shooting it... and it shoots better than its owner. Pre-10 w/a not-so-professional renickel; despite the spread, I was happy from 15 yds.

My very first pistol was a 4" Model 10 with a heavy barrel! I never should've gotten rid of it; now, I can't seem to find one again! I have other 38s and 357s, but I still miss that one.

One of the great things about the M10 is working stiffs such as myself can still afford to collect a quality revolver. I have more modern and expensive handguns but taking my M10s to the range is just relaxing.

Is your 2 1/2 a Michigan State Police or an FBI gun? I think that's the coolest variation on the Model 10 that was ever made.

Wayne-

It was very interesting to learn (see letter) that the 2.5-inch variation was also bought by the RCMP. I hadn't known that.
