My LE career started and ended with revolvers. On duty, a K frame 38 or 357. Off duty usually a 36 or 36-1. At some point I built a 45 ACP revolver and for a short while that was my revolver on and off duty. Since the 80s an ACP revolver has been my EDC. At first I used a Bianchi 5BH, then a Safariland M29. The Safariland got carried so much I have had it restitched so I could continue to use it. Then I found the Sunday holster (you might know it as a Brill copy). I like it so much I have several versions.
Here are some of my ACP revolvers. The two on the left and the bottom right are ones I have carried the most.

66-8 on right hip, 66 on left hip, 642 on ankle, 640 in console, 637 in glove box, 66-5 in coat pocket, shockwave in passenger seat, AR in back seat. M14 in trunk. 200 rounds of 357, 100 rounds of 38, 25 slugs, 6 30 round mags of 5.56. 6 20 round mags of 308. If I showed you what they look like I would ........, well, no need getting into that.

Love the K6 for year round carry 24oz 6 shot 357, has semi-retired the 19.
Today it was the 66-4 in a Galco pancake for the trip to Costco.

This one is not on my CCW permit but I carry it in places legal to do so. Sorry but it is a Ruger SP101. All steel, so a bit heavy to carry but really nice to shoot. I had the Wolff Spring Kit added and had a good gunsmith smooth it out. Also added tritium night front sight. This is a good gun for those of us who occasionally stray from S&W.

That's about the sharpest looking SP101 I've seen. Are those Chig's grip inserts? Very nice.

Yes. Love the Chig inserts. This grip combines the beauty of wood with the comfort of rubber.
Most days I carry my 642-1, because of the light weight, and I shoot it
fairly well. Favorite holster is the little black speed holster by Chic Gaylord.
Sometimes I feel like carrying the Model 10 2" snub nosed revolver, shown
here in a Lawrence 34V Special Agent (pigskin) holster.
Colt's Agent gets an occasional outing. It likes the gator trimmed pancake
by KD. (The extended boot stocks are by Craig Spegel)
Once in a while I carry Charter's Undercover, in this "dog ear" holster,
made for S&W by Wally Wolfram.

3" K-frames carry great....... been my standard in a Milt Sparks summer Special since 1986.... first a 65 with bobbed hammer and cut down "banana''grip ...... later and still a 3" 66 with Spegel Boot grips.
Penn's Woods a Bianchi 111 Cyclone cross draw.
Not to big not to small and full extractor.

When I was introduced to the concept of a New York reload..... I thought the prefect combo would be a 3" 66 backed up by a Browning HP. If 6 .357 don't fix your problem then you're going to need lots of 9mm.(mec-gar 15 rd flush fit mags X2-3 for 31-46rds, )

In the picture of four: The one on the far left is a Lew Horton 624 Combat Special, and one I still have.
The one on the far right is a Trail Boss but with no graphic.
The second from right was my first one. I was at a Milwaukee gunshow on Friday night to make a purchase and saw it on the table of an older man. There was a box of ammo with 39 rounds in it. I offered a low-ball price because I really didn't want it, and he declined.
I returned to the gunshow on Sunday, Wisconsin 48-hour delaying period, and the gun was still on his table.
At about an hour before the show closed I walked by him again, offering the same low figure. He grimaced and said "OK."
I said "Oh bull-rear-end-effluent!" He threw in the box of ammo.
It didn't take me long, that is, very many rounds, to realize *I* did not like it. When, some years later, a relative saw it and expressed interest I couldn't shove it into his hands fast enough. He likes to take it to the range and hand it to macho-types, after loading it with my full-spec .44Mag handloads. He says not many will shoot a full cylinder of them.
All except the LH 624 I got from guys who had had enough of them. Cheap.
The other pic is a Lew Horton 29-10. With my handloads that make ~850fps with 200gr bullets, it is a good carry gun.
This is my double rig, a 586 on the left, a Python on the right. They use the same M/M holster. Easily carried under light cover.

I own and carry an M&P 340 fairly regularly in my left front pocket (I am a lefty) these days when going to the mail box, out with the mutts for a walk on our street or for something close to home. The rest of the time it is a semi auto like a Shield or something bigger than that. I read all the posts all the time about those that are comfortable with a mouse gun because they think that they will never use it and those that think that a 5 shot snub is stiatistically all that they will need for a civilian situation. I am not telling anyone what to do but I would rather have more capacity than less in any situation. Thus, I mostly carry a semi auto these days. Shield 9mm, CZ P-01 Omega, Glock 19, CZ P 10-C, M&P .9mm 2.0 Compact, etc.I find that I shoot the semi autos more accurately than I do the small J frame's .
