Who's cookin' tonight?

Tonight will be rosemary crusted pork tenderloin and butternut squash with butter, brown sugar and bacon. Grilled? maybe, will depend on the temperature this evening. Was 23 degrees this morning.

Rosemary and pork is a marriage made in heaven. Pork tenderloin is so versatile. Just bring your thermometer, it's easy to overcook. Yours is the third on this thread. Just looked it up and will try it next time.

Mom taught me to cook around age 12. I am very thankful she did. I do 90% of the cooking and grilling in my house. I enjoy the process and find it relaxing. I am a cook, not a chef as stated earlier but I have no complaints from the family. I also inherited my mom's 100 year old Griswold #8 dutch oven and skillets. Cast iron is the way to go.

I learned to cook at he apron strings of my grandmother, mother and aunts... have always loved cooking and createing magic in the kitchen.. the mess is just bonus...lol... I am actually taking a break from cooking a special meal for tomorrow... it is a Halloween party at my partner in Boy Scout crimes house... costume required or they dress you when you walk in... anyway... cooking was a Scout competition in our troop... so "Blood & Guts" stew is on the menu - created on a campout... Italian Sausage hot & sweet... sauteed mushrooms, onions, garlic, roasted red peppers... black olives and cherry tomatoes eyes... and marinara sauce in a slow cooker with some spaghetti worms... serve with Italian bread or toothpicks... leftovers make the best sauce over noodles.... house smells amazing

Just this morning I was complaining to my wife that I haven't had a day off since I retired 3 months ago! I used to work 9 day pay-periods with every other Friday off. So she said "take today off!" Yeah sure==Doing small things around the house: made a big batch of red sauce; a big batch of green sauce, candied walnuts, two apple pies, moved furniture and some minor stuff. Just sat down with a glass of tea to check for e-mails (4:45==started at 7:00). She did say she would pick up Mexican on the way home and for me to quarter some limes, get down the Gusano Rojo and the sal con chiles y gusano! and pick out a couple of scary movies!

I also know the open bottle is down to the last shot (with the worm!). She'll do it but doesn't really like it!
