Who's Got Snubbies?

dscn2996.jpg

My good man, is this a square butt model 36 no dash from the mid 80's? Or do the stocks (very nice stocks BTW ;)) have some type of round to square conversion thingie in them?

I've been looking for a square butt model 36 from that era, but I didn't know exactly when they stopped making the square butts.

If you would ever consider trading that square butt 36 (if it IS a square butt 36) for a round butt 36 from the same era (mid 80's - serial number AEZ42xx) give me a shout. :D

Only 2. A model 36 and Grandpa's 38 S&W.

It aint a beauty but it serves a purpose

Here is my every day carry gun. It's a 338PD Air Lite Ti. Titanium cylinder and scandium alloy frame. With an empty weight of 10.65 oz. and its compact size it is a pleasure to carry.

Here is the 638 that I carry as a BUG and also as a primary CCW. Nothing fits in my pocket better than this little J-Frame.

Here are a couple of my favorites, the 342PD is my daily carry gun, the 686-4 with the Nill grips and the C&S rear sight is also a gun I carry quite a bit, I had it cut for moon clips. The 629-4 is my latest gun, I have still yet to shoot this gun as it is NIB.....I do plan to shoot it one of these days!

Here are a couple of recent acquires:

Yes I do, and I love them. My first one is a model 60 fully engraved by F.A.H. Another one I have is a model 649-2 and the third one is a ( Please read the story below to find out ) ( This is what I had to write in response to the great story that was on yesterdays ( S&W Forum > Main > S&W Hand Ejectors: 1896 to 1961 ) Thank You for the nice story. I have to admit that I had to scroll down to see if there was a picture before I could finish reading the story. At the last gunshow, ( a few weeks ago ) You see, I had to hunker down too. It was for a good 45 minutes or more, it was for a Smith & Wesson Model 63 I had to hunker down, almost right up to 10:00am. Thats when this dealers store opened. He was waiting so he could call them ( his people ) to see what they had into it, money wise. You see it was taking in on trade. I was like a mother hen sitting on one egg not wanting it to roll away. You see, I saw it in the first 10 to 15 minutes of the show. I walked the rest of that show so fast to get back to him in ten minutes or so. When I got back, somebody else had it there hands. I was scared that I lost it. What do I do, I said to myself. I did nothing but watched. And then it happened, he set it down, and thats when I hunkered down. I picked it up, and it never left my hands. Then he made the call, he gave me the thumbs up. And thats when I knew it was mine. What a good day it was. Box, cleaning kit, and everything.

I love snubbies, first gun I shot was a snub nose.. here's my one and only

I've got 3, but this is the only one I have a picture of currently. Bought it new in '86.
