What's the story on "The Effector", R_H?

Ah, I see. That was the first thought that came to mind, that it was a name stamped by a 'smith for a custom job...cool name for CM though. Very nice collection, by the way! I hope to have something nearly that nice amassed as I get older and more and more into the good ol' SmithsAccording to the letter, it was sent from the S&W factory directly to Jovino, a well known gunsmith shop in New York, in 1985
It started life with a 6" barrel and was converted to 3" by Jovino. While there it recieved some trigger work and was stamped "EFFECTOR".
I was told that they were called EFFECTOR's because the barrel was cut down the maximum length to still have the ejector rod work "EFFECT"ivly.
