I think it has a lot to do with the ability to capture in real time police in action. Technology has come a long way and with the help of Mobil devices makes it easier and convenient to do so. This is on the news right now while I'm writing this post.
Video: Bridgeport Police Officers Brutally Kicking Subdued Man Lying Unmoved - Connecticut - YouTube Do a search on YouTube for police brutality, it's all over the Internet and this is going on all over the world. Heres another one for you, police punch woman in face.
Philadelphia Police Brutality - YouTube check it out.
We seldom know what went on before the video.
The Bridgeport video says it is occurring in a park. I wonder how many people the perp nearly ran over during the chase? Something had those cops wound pretty tight.
Just watch a few episodes of COPS where they chase idiots for miles, wind up with wrecks, injured INNOCENT people perps hit, and property damage, and find out the guy ran cause he doesn't have insurance or his license is suspended.
If you watch the vid of the woman who gets punched, at the very beginning, she throws her beer over a CROWD of cops, and appears to be screaming at them. I'm sure it is all complimentary.

At best, she is an idiot, but most likely a drunken idiot.
If one seeks to have problems with cops, they can probably supply your needs.
Speaking in general here-
We don't have a perfect system. Cops are just people. Most are good, a few are bad. If you think we'd be better off without them, you're a fool. Be glad they hold the thin blue line in front of you.
I'll reiterate that we don't bash cops on this board.
If that makes anyone unhappy, perhaps another board would be more entertaining for you.
We're done here.
