Why do YOU carry a revolver?

I'm actually puzzled by the question.

I presume this is meant to be "why a revolver instead of an automatic", and not "why a revolver, period".

Would you ask someone why he wears Jockey shorts instead of boxers? Slacks instead of jeans? Levis instead of Wranglers?

Why does he carry a Swiss Army Knife instead of a Buck 110?

Why does he wear tennis shoes instead of combat boots?

Why does he wear a fedora instead of a baseball cap?

Hell, why does he wear his ball cap backwards?

Personal preference.

I carry a Model 36 3" square butt becuase getting the first accurate shot in a gun fight is the best way to end it. I have many handguns and I have had numerous contests to see which one it the fastest to deploy. My little friend, the Chief's Special, wins every time. It is brutally simple and lightning fast.

No I am pretty certain that is not Broderick Crawford. Those men are in uniform and Broderick Crawford wore a suit in that series if memory still serves, me which it does not always do these days.

I did learn to drive on a 56 Buick V-8 and they were pretty good family cars. I don’t think they would be my first choice for a police car however. Both the 56 Chevy and 56 Ford would outrun those heavy Buicks.

Because my 640 is the gun that felt perfect when I picked it up and I like the no fuss, no muss, pull trigger and it shoots, reliability of the revolver.
