Why do YOU carry a revolver?

If it was good enough for Elmer,Bill and Skeeter, it's more than good enough for me, that and I shoot whell guns better, and I like BIG bullets that move fast 1200 fps or better...

My Bulldog .44 Special is lightweight, reliable, easily concealed and will hit like the hammer of Thor. 'nuff said.

I will say if I was LEO I would prefer a hi cap 45 or 10mm. As a good ole boy citizen, six rounds of Federal 357B will stop any threat I should encounter. You just cannot get that kind of assurance with a wonder nine.

A group of inmates were having a conversation about their choices of firearms in the unit and either didn't know I was within earshot of didn't care. The majority were espousing the virtues of the Glock fotay and how they could send lots of boolitz into the rival gang in a hurry. An older inmate upon hearing all this chuckled. One of the members of the conversation axked what he thought was so funny. His reply was something like this, All you young punks are doing is leaving evidence behind for the cops. You got to get a revolver. (which cause laughter to erupt and his sanity to be questioned) Continuing, You got a beef with someone you don't spray the crowd and kill innocent children on the playground behind him. You walk up to him like a man, tell him why you are about to kill him, then pop him with the revolver. No brass is left behind for the cops. Then you pull out your bandanna, wipe off your prints, throw the gun in the river and go get another.

There is one reason to carry a revolver. Less evidence left behind.

Side note, he was from one of the states that did enter the shell case images in a database.

Because nothing looks more bad *** than a 460V on your hip.

I carry a S & W 442 with Crimson Trace grips because it is so light I almost forget I've got it with me. I like my semi-autos better but too heavy to just stick in my pocket and out the door.
The weather usually dictates the gun I carry. Warm to hot weather I carry my snubby holstered in my pocket. Cooler weather I carry a semi on my hip covered with a coat.

A few reasons I carry a revolver:

I carry a revolver so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating myself for failing to be prepared.

I carry a revolver because I've lived long enough to see the evil in the world.

I carry a revolver because I love life and the people who make it meaningful to me.

I carry a revolver because I understand the limitations of government.
I carry a revolver because there are real threats in this world.

And...I carry a revolver because I want to die at a ripe old age in my bed, and not on a sidewalk somewhere tomorrow afternoon.

Primarily because, while I like my semi-auto 9mm, my wheelguns will never jam at an inopportune time and now that I have 8 shots in both of my 627PC's, the round count delta is diminished. :"-)

My model 60 is perfect to carry in the handlebar bag on my bicycle. Filled with .38 +P, and two speed loaders, it is light and doesn't take up a lot of room.
