Question, why isn't there more of a campaign to ensure awareness of potential 2A losses? If you take what happened in VA as an example, I bet 75% of firearm owners in the US are not aware what is going to happen in VA in January with the proposed changes. It could easily come to a state you love. We have rights under the constitution, we should not be made "over night felons".

So my real question is, shouldn't gun manufactures, distributors and shops all have insert material or signage or something that makes folks aware of possible loss of or curtailment of 2A freedoms?

We don't ever want to use the phrase "I should have" in a sentence.

Corrected....OK I give in..corrected. Geez you guys are like my 10th grade English teacher. Just remember, it's the content that is important.

Basically this is because compliance with the law is the responsibility of the "End User" if you will. Source: My grandfather who was a well known jurist, law school dean, and at times state supreme court justice.

The operative phrase is "Ignorance of the law is no excuse."

The magic word is 'Virginia'; which when its politics when feminine recently (and I don't mean feminist) I knew meant that particular tail was going to start wagging that particular dog, on a regular basis. The common factor in all the images of left wing demonstrations I am seeing around the world is: women and girls make up the bulk of those present; sometimes even exclusively. This is an 'angry women insurrection' and it's painfully obvious in the impeachment hearings that this is why not a lot of logical thinking is going on there.

As mentioned, the NRA is an excellent source for information concerning threats to our 2A rights, at both the State and Federal level. If you're not a member, join. It's also a good idea to frequest the NRA-ILA site: NRA-ILA | Home

Many States have organizations that focus on 2A issues. Virginia has the Citizens Defense League. In my home State, we have the Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners. These are excellent sources for information concerning threats at the local level. They often organize rallies and promote campaigns to let their legislators know where they stand. Get involved and pay attention.

The 2A forum on this board is also an excellent source for information. It's designed to inform our members about:

ACTION that can and should be taken to protect or advance the cause of freedom.

Ideally, we should see nothing here that does not pertain directly to threats to or expansion of 2nd Amendment RIGHTS.
That means this forum is about PENDING LEGISLATION and responses from legislators or the actions of legislators or about PENDING CHANGES in carry permit laws and issues.
