Why No .44 2nd Model "Targets"??

Your original observation is interesting. A few years ago I had just the opposite feeling.:confused: I found a beautiful 2nd Model Target and shortly thereafter found a near duplicate. I immediately came to the conclusion that they were as common as pig tracks. Didn't think there was any reason to keep them both around so I let a good friend and Forum member have one when he moved to Fl.

Your premise and mine just goes to show that first impressions can certainly be misleading.:D

That is kind of interesting Bob. But I still maintain they are few and far between. I am however very pleasantly surprised at how many are pictured above. I still am holding out to one day find an unmolested shooter grade example for sale (at a price that won't break the bank). That will NOT happen at any of our local shows here in Memphis. But the hunt sure is fun.

Here is #27261. She's not in .44-40 and doesn't have a 3 1/2 inch barrel, but I love her just the same.
