Why S&W?

i chose S&W for my rifle because two friends, both of which i regard as excellent sources of firearms information and experience, have the MP15T...so after hearing them talk about em so damn much, i wanted to try one out...these guys complimenting a firearm is a HUGE endorsement, as they are used to depending on their weapons more than most (they are both contractors now, served in the Marines prior)...when these guys tell you something is rock solid, it is...they compliment SEVERAL weapons, this one was by far the most affordable...other recommendations were LMT, Daniel Defense, Yankee Hill Machine, etc.
