Grip safety on the EZ pistols…WHY??

That was my solution. I had a 30 EZ Super Carry that was too much after hand surgery. Have 380 EZ Performance Center that is easy to work with, no issue. The PC grip safety is just a hair different and makes compressing it a non-issue. A 32 revolver (or 4 actually) and problem was solved.
I keep hoping the .30SuperCarry will catch on. It's a much better round than .380ACP.

.30 Super Carry doesn't really compete with the pocket pistol niche that the most popular .380 ACP pistols occupy, because the high pressure relegates it to designs that can take 9x19 pressures. Because of that, .30 SC basically just gets you an extra round or two over the 9mm version of the same pistol.

I've posted this before, but if .30 Super Carry had been more of an improved .32 ACP rather than a 9x19 competitor, we could've gotten some amazing pocket pistols out of that. My idea is a rebated rim instead of being semi-rimmed for better feeding, and cases/guns that can take somewhat higher pressures than the 20,500 of .32 ACP, but still low enough to work in small, lightweight pocket pistols like the BG 2.0.

Are you firing your revolvers single or double action? Three people I know with hand strength issues (all female if that matters) don't have the hand strength to be able to fire double action safely or accurately. One switched to an EZ and loves it. One is my honey, who I am getting an EZ for. One is a new shooter who I've been coaching and will let her try the EZ. BTW, the new shooter shot a Colt .380 Govt and loved it! She also loved my 1911, so it's not a recoil issue for her.
No issues shooting double action. Also have a Sig P238 that is a joy to shoot. The recoil from a 45 acp in a 1911 is not an issue, as is 9mm in a CZ75. 9 was a problem with a CZ75 D compact though. The extra weight makes the difference with my hands. Surgery was on the heal of the hand, so it could be scar tissue that is the issue.

There is a difference in the grip safety of the performance center vs the non-performance center pistol. The grip safety is slightly larger and if I recall there was someone making 3-D printed replacements for a while. However, when I looked for one for the 30SC EZ, they had stopped making them. Maybe try buying one form S&W Performance Center.

One thing also is S&W makes both 380EZ and 9EZ without the grip safety. I also wonder if they should they should own guns if that small thing is stopping them from shooting.
I do infact have this wrong. The EZ comes with or without the thumb safety not grip safety.
