On the condition of a dollar for dollar spent on a 1967 Ford F100 and equal amount in savings account. This would be a project truck and could use a exterior paint job, tune up and general up keep as needed. Intended to use as for a backup vehicle at my off grid cabin so not really planning on a show room truck, but runs and looks nice. Contemplating on if I really want to undertake this project or just continue improvements at the cabin. Really enjoyed working on the Jeep 1990 YJ and driving it around and continue to make daily runs and some times take the jeep to the cabin. So the old truck would just be another thing to take care of.:D

'67 was a very good year for the F100.Every dollar you put in it will still be there if you sell it. Guaranteed. My '64 predates the wife by a few years so no negotiations needed.

Take it as far as you want. They are fun to own.

I'm not into show trucks but I do like it dependable and tidy. ;)

The guy who does the Vice Grip Garage videos has a formula for protecting and preserving patina.

Google finds lots of other recommendations.

I'd stick with 4x4 Jeep. Take it from a man who at one time had way too many motorcycles. They require time and effort to keep up. I'd allocate the money to cabin projects or more S&Ws.

What engine is in that truck? When I was a kid my Uncle had a '66 Ford (previous body style) with a 300 CI straight 6 and that was a good truck. IIRC, no electronic ignition either.
