Wife says I have too many hobbies....

When I hear about hobbies I remind my wife that I could always have a girlfriend. Regarding my new Python (paid $1550 OTD) went to Colt for muzzle repair at the end of January 2020. It hasn't come back yet!

I pre ordered and paid for one from SOSS on Jan 14th.

I cancelled my order July 14th, 6 months to the day after ordering it.

Really wanted one, but I knew I'd never shoot it, just admire it like a piece of art.

I took the money and bought something super cool I know I'll shoot a lot. Plus I sent off 2 ATF form 1's to make it most super cool and very quiet.

It's your business, but the overarching question is a basic: Why?

Side note: I obviously disagree...

I am sorry, but I just dont get where one spouse tells the other what they can have or not have? I just wouldnt allow it. Been married 53 years and the only time my wife has ever said such a thing to me was when she thought I might get a Harley. All she said was she didnt think I would be safe due to medical concerns and she was right. :)

fair is fair, I dont tell her any thing like that either. Works for us.:)

I'm with you Weems! I stopped asking permission the day I moved out of my mom and dad's house and I sure didn't start back up when I got married --- 26yrs and counting and the exact same rules apply for her as well! It seems to work.

I agree with your wife if you have been diagnosed with a disease that will soon result in your passing. If you aren't headed for the rest home then tell her to chill, marriage is based on mutual respect not single side mandates.

...and she's probably got a point...I collect a lot of different things. She wants me to sell some stuff off...guns, guitars, motorcycles, etc. She said the other day that I really only need one handgun. So, the question is...what do you guys think about that new Colt Python? Did they get the bugs worked out yet? :D

She wants... She said... Time to man-up and keep your guns and whatever else you have worked for and paid for. If she's paying the bills, then forget what I said.

Married for 47 years and have fewer hobbies since I recently retired. With the extra time on my hands, my wife is very happy that I have reloading to keep my busy instead of chasing her around the house all the time. :)
