Wifes and guns

Well, I don't hide guns, fishing tackle, money, checking accounts, nothing from my Wife. She is about 75% of me, and I treasure the 56 years the Lord has allowed us to be together. We have two beautiful Daughters that have families of their own that I love, but my Wife comes before everyone and everything except God.
She knows where the list of firearms is located and everything else of value. If she wants a new firearm she picks it out and handles the paperwork. But, if I could find the right concealed holster that she is looking for I would be her hero for a day.
I gladly open doors, make sure she is warm, pick up things she drops, find her phone if she misplaces it and many other things.

She is a treasure and she knows I love her and respect her and want to take care of her until the end.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

I've mentioned this before. Mrs went to the range with me one time, years ago. After a quick tutorial, I loaded 5 in the mag of my 1911, handed it to her. She put all five in the black at 25 yards. Didn't know whether to be proud or frightened.

Back in the Stone Age when Mrs. chukar and I resided at poverty flats she cared deeply about money spent on guns. I was allowed one modest purchase a year.
As life progressed and our finances loosened up I started buying and selling guns and made some money doing it. All the excess went into a gun fund. I added to the fund with some discretionary money and over the years the fund has grown.
The gun fund is mine to use and is solely controlled by me.
Thankfully, the Mrs. still seems interested and happy for me when I drag the next gun home. She may be faking it, but god bless her for that.

My late wife was a country girl. Her father worked his whole life in security. Guns were a common place item to her. While she never got into guns as deeply as I did, she was very familiar and quite skilled with them.
We came to an understanding early in our marriage. As long as the bills were paid and we had plenty of food, any overtime I made was mine to do with as I pleased. I worked a lot of overtime back then and that money built my gun collection. She never said a word.
OTOH: I once made the mistake of letting her shoot my Detective Special. I didn't get it back for over 20 years!

As far as my wife knows I have 4 weapons: 1 with a spinny thing that you put cartridges into, one with a stick looking thing that holds the bullets, one that you pump and can be taken deer hunting, and one with a telescope on it for reaching out and touching someone. That's my story and I have stuck to it.

NO is the only word my wife knows. Have been driving my Silverado for 13 yrs. Told her it was time to replace it NO was her answer. So I am buying a tricked out Sig P320 and I am going to tell her it's not a truck.
