Just curious if anyone with a bump fire stock has a barrel shroud. Im wondering if the set screw or screws is able to hold it in place? I realize a 22 doesnt have much kick but its a little different with the bump fire. Thanks

It's not recoil that makes set screws come loose, it's the vibration of the barrel. If one files a flat on the barrel where the set screw contacts it, and puts a bead of Blue LocTite on both the end of the barrel and the set screw(s), any shroud will stay in position.

Or if you want to go a little more extreme. In the center of the mark from the set screw, drill a shallow divot with a 1/4 inch drill. Be sure to stop before the straight part of the drill starts in. This will give something for the tip of the screw to have a mechanical lock.
If you have your barrel threaded, the divot will be machined away.
