Most beautiful revolver EVER made! I envy you all.

The most foolish moment in my life was when I sold mine. Still want to vomit whenever I think about that.

The 3.5" m27 is far and away the most beautiful handgun ever made, and everybody knows it, even the guys who own pythons. They just cant say it out loud.

Found a Model 28-2 like that a few years ago. Had it “round butted” and bead blast blued. Just an idea. That said, I would probably not grind the hammer, trigger, etc. Would swap parts if preferred.

I have a 28-2 that was in bad shape and now is similar to yours.

I also have a model 27 that needed some love. It was round-butted and finished in a bead-blast blue. The trigger was smoothed and the hammer was rounded to look like a Colt revolver hammer.

So a long overdue update:
Muley Gil very generously sent me a couple of standard triggers to try. The first one fit pretty well with only minor fitting required.
The second one fit perfectly. Timing is good, DA pull is good enough that I am not touching it until I fire at least a couple hundred rounds through it. The SA pull is almost too light but there is no push off.

Bonus: I didn’t grind anything…
