Will my 1977 Model 36 shoot +P ammo?

You asked and the general opinion was go ahead and shoot plus p...I carried my 36 for 15 years, qualified every six months with it and kept plus p in the gun because that is what they gave me. I traded my 36 for of all things a Walther and tossed that piece of junk in a trash can. I found a really great little 36 no dash in the local gun store and bought it for 265.00 bucks...It has a lot of wear and tear and shows its age (1961 thereabouts) so I only shoot 130 grain or less target rounds for practice and I keep Federal Hydra Shock 110 grain JHP in it for personal defense. I would not hesitate to load mine with plus p if I felt the added benefit outweighed the stress on the gun...but I think the round I carry is a good defense round, especially from 7-9 feet....mine is a 2" and distances above that range probably would cause me to go in the opposite direction given the chance.
