Will S&W cut down a barrel?

I have an K22 with the 8 3/8 barrel that I have had since I was a teenager. I'm thinking I would like to have it cut down to 6".

Will S&W cut it down, recrown, and install new sight, or do they just perform action job gunsmithing only?

They'll install a barrel if they have one.

AFAIK they will NOT cut down a barrel but they might replace it with one of a different length if you find one that is compatible. The best way is to call them and just ask.

What Collects said! Cutting off or even replacing the barrel on this gun would be sacrilegious.

Sell the long-nosed S&W and buy one you like.

I had a Model 19-4 6 inch sent it back to S&W for a 2 1/2 red ramp front sight and white outline rear sight came back 8 weeks it's beautiful call them for a shipping label you will not be dissatisfied
