A very small inconvenience for me, with all the knowledge and enjoyment I get from this place. I figure the IT crew will get it fixed asap. But it sure makes you realize how enjoyable this place is when you can't get on! The downtimes always seem to be short and it seems like a small price to pay for a free site as enjoyable as this one! I think Lee, the IT crew, and the mods do a helluva job for a place this size!

My apologies to you all.
Yes, we have had problems since last Friday.
Yes, it will get fixed.
We thought it was fixed several times, only to be disappointed.
It is not a lack of bandwidth.
I cannot really explain the tech side of it, but rest assured we are working VERY hard to correct it.
The IT Guy has literally been at his keyboard, all night, for several nights this week.
As always, we will do whatever it takes.
I can assure you that no one is as disappointed as we are.
Please be patient.

My guess, for what it's worth:
- the HTTP Daemon isn't spawning enough "child processes"
or
- the HTTP Daemon isn't shutting down old "child processes" after their done.

And it really is a guess looking at it from this end.

Thanks for dropping in,but I didn't think you had too.
It's been a long week. The Guy's can't be having any fun with this mess anymore that we are. They're doing what they can.
Don't get me wrong, I've been swearing all week just like the rest of you.
But I did computers for 30 years, so sometimes it ain't easy.
