Would this fit on the M&P 15-22 Lower?

I saw one in a gun shop today and they said it would fit on any mil-spec AR lower. It got me thinking

No....

The Lower Receiver is not the same as an AR. The parts internally are interchangeable but the lower on the S&W is actually wider than an AR15.

ok I wasn't sure because the upper only uses the trigger assembly and is mounted on by the take down pins. The mag area is not used.

it would prob. fit with some light mods but the recoil from a 50 bmg will bust your lower reciever.. believe that.. ive shot many many 50 bmgs from bullpups to barretts to m2s and ive even shot the 50 uppers for the ars you dont want that on a plastic frame unless you want to know how it taste

I wouldn't want to be the guy touching off that 50 ontop of a polymer receiver. Not sure if anyone watches Pawn Stars, but they make Chumlee fire all the strange weapons that come into the store - this would qualify as a Chumlee shot!

Yeah there ain't no way in hell I'd be the one to touch that trigger. A guy I work with has a single shot bolt .50 Barret and the muzzle brake came with a toe tag around it that said basically "If you remove this you may die" (Referring to the Muzzle Brake, not the tag it's self)

You could use it only if you want to have the lower receiver removed from all over your body!!!!

The one small fact that the 15-22 has no receiver extension would be a good solid clue.
