We all know these competition sights fit on the Glock.
Will they fit on my full sized M&P?

Warren makes sights specifically designed for the M&P just as they make sights designed specifically for the Glock. I have Warren sights on 3 of my 4 M&P's (and the last one will have them when funding permits). Warren M&P sights tend to come oversized and will need the dovetail base on the front and rear sight stoned down to fit the specific M&P you are installing them on. All of mine took a significant amount of filing but I like that I can be guaranteed a tight fit on my guns so they will not move. I do not recommend installing these unless you have a sight pusher, I would not want to install Warrens using the brass punch method.

That was very helpful, thank you. With that.... I did my searching and just placed an order for a set for my M&P40 and G17.

I second that. I wanted a set of 10-8 Performance sights on my 45, but the stumbling block was getting the original sights to come off. They were on pretty tight and I didn't feel good beating on the thing. It went to a gunsmith.... Any recommedations on sight pushers?

I bought an MGW M&P sight pusher from Brownells. It is a fantastic tool and will remove/install both front and rear sights.

They are not cheap however. It ran me about $125. However, the way I see it, it was a better option than paying a gunsmith $25-40 for sight install on EACH of my M&Ps. The tool allows me to work on my own guns without the need of a gunsmith and I got a tangible good for my money that I can use in the future. I will always see my money as better spent on tools that will allow me to expand my own knowledge and skills rather than paying a gunsmith for their work that may not be up to my standards.
