The title says it all. Two weekends, two different guns and the same result both times. Out of about 200 rounds total, I had at least 7 or 8 FTF and at least another 10 FTE. Last week it was in my M&P 15-22 and this week it was in my Ruger MKIII 22/45 and both times with perfectly clean guns, it was a terrible with close to 10% failure rate of some sort.

I wouldn't even buy these again unless I could find them for $.05/round. Anything higher than that, you're wasting your money.

I was going to say No, WWB seems to work most of the time, dirty, but ...

Then I saw you were talking about the .22.
I can agree on that.

Pity is that most of the bulk is at that level now. I'm to the point of walking past most bulk. Keep hoping for CCI or Blazer to come back to the shelves.

I was glad to hear at the end of the video you both enjoyed the range. Sorry to see such a trip marred by FTF's.

It just don't get any better than that Concept1. Shooting with the kids is really what this whole thing is all about anyway. You looked as happy as your son, what a team. Way to pass it on Dad.

Both my 22/45 and 15-22 do not like WWB as well. I still have like 3 boxes of 333 packs in my stash. I take like 100 rnds on range trips to get rid of it. If that's all I bring on a range trip, it will be a very frustrating day with all the FTE's & FTF's I get.

My son is about as old as your boy right there Concept1. We haven't had a father & son outing like you guys did. Perhaps in a year or two my boy will be ready for his first range outing. Makes for fun times and good memories for sure!

I liked his crisp trigger break on the FTF. No jerk, no flinch, just a clean break, but the FTF. Everyone should learn on a 22 for exactly that reason. Never shot any gun ever until that day and he was 100% comfortable doing it today.

"That's cause his Dad was there with him". I just got a new slidefire and hope to take my 13 year old grandson out tomorrow and waste a pile of 22 shells and have as much fun a you two looked like you were having, FTF or not. lol

I thought he was still too young, but I figured I'd do it on a whim. He still can't work the slide release or safety in a safe manner, but that's why I had him sitting on my lap. I was shocked after the first 10 rounds when he was like, "Daddy, can I do it on my own this time?" I didn't do anything the first mag except hold his hands so he wouldn't be shocked by the recoil. After that, I was only checking to see if he'd be shooting the sandbag cause he handled the .22 kick with ease.

That is the box I let some folks have a few weeks ago at Cabela's. Had picked up the last one, had in in hand talking to the clerk when some folks (who clearly didn't know the .22 story) came up. I had decided I didn't want them, but had not walked over to put them back. Guess it was just as well.

I AGREE, Concept1. I WOULD RATHER NOT SHOOT .22LR, THAN SUBJECT MYSELF TO THE FRUSTRATION OF SHOOTING THAT JUNK……...

In contrast, the 500rnd wooden box contains Winchester Super-X's and not WWB. I have only shot Super-X's that came in the red plastic 100rnd packs which have been problem free for me. Haven't shot mine that came in the 500rnd wooden box but I expect them to be just the same as the 100rnd Super-X.

Whelp, this bulk **** from winchester is exactly that, ****. I don't think I've ever just tossed rounds into the trashcan before. FTF's, double feeds that got dinged up in the chamber, etc. I've never thrown away this many rounds from one bulk pack before. Probably 1000 rounds shot through both the 15-22 and 22/45 and I've never had it this bad before.

I guess I'm lucky cause Win 555 bulk works about as good as any other bulk in my 15-22 and 10-22.

A hand full of failures of some sort per box. It even works in the 50 rd Black Dog drum which is not recommended for hollow points at all.

The problem with firearms chambered in 22lr is that they are ammo picky/sensitive. This goes for most 22s. A friend has problems with American Eagle in some guns but not others. My suggestion is to find what your guns like and stick to that
