Anybody know what's up with the Winchester collectors forum? I have been a member for years, but when I posted some pics, it said first time posters have to be approved.
I have devoted many decades to studying certain models of Winchesters. While about any early Winchester draws my attention, model 70's, 1894's, and 12's leave me drooling. Being the local "expert" I see many family heirlooms. Sometimes I am asked questions I know they don't want the answers to.
I spend my time here as the Winchester Forum has never seemed to gain much traction. Frankly I think there are more "Winchester Guys" here then there..... Great 94 by the way, thanks for giving us a look.
I had an 1894 .32 Special, 20" short barrel rifle with the octagon barrel, made in 1908. I never could get it authenticated as original. I would show it to different Winchester guys and get different opinions. I guess it really didn't matter as I only gave $55.00 for it in 1964. I ended up giving it to my son one Christmas. He gave me an AK the same Christmas. I think I may have been taken on that deal.
