Winchester M-22

Good feedback. Saw this today and was wondering the forum's opinion.

Looks like it will be part of the next stockup purchase.

M22 hasn't impressed me in the 15/22. Its reliability is closer to cheap promo loads than it is to premium ammo. The brand I compare all others to is CCI. The M22 is only about a penny per round cheaper than CCI mini mags.

M22 runs better in my M&P22 pistol, so I can at least shoot up what I have on hand.

Bought some M-22 today at the local Wally-world for $48.73 OTD. Can't wait to get out to the In-laws tommorrow and send some lead down range.......WVleo

I have finished off my first box of M-22 today and it worked fine. There are others that are cheaper depending on what works well in your M&P 15-22. I have a stock for Federal bulk that has preformed well.

Give the M-22 a try and if it works for you great. It seems to be just fine for my rifle.

Good luck.

winchester m22 ammo

hello, last week i bought a smith and wesson m&p 15-22 in the perforfance center version. i have 2 boxes of agulia interceptor coming from cabelas, but in my haste to shoot i bought a brick of the winchester m22's at walmart based on the description on the box. i got home, did a web search, found you guys and was not overwhelmed with the reveiws. next day we went out and the ammo was a complete dissapointment. averaged 5 jams and misfires per mag. luckily i have a little henry repeater that eats anything so it won't go to waste, but it won't go back in the ar either. i joined so i could share my experience with others, hope it helps someone to make a better decision and save the $$. jim.

Bought some M-22 recently, it did very well in my Ruger 22/45 LITE, no issues at all. It's OK in the 15-22 but I did have a couple of FTFs (but that could have been a magazine loading issue....stacked and not staggered). Went back to Winchester X that comes in the red 100 round slider boxes for the following match and the 15-22 was again flawless.....so I found ammo that works perfectly in my 15-22.

This is it, but this isn't the cheapest price out there:
Academy - Winchester Super-X® Lead Round-Nose .22 Long Rifle 40-Grain Rifle/Handgun Ammunition

I eventually went out and bought 5000 rounds of it I liked it so much!!! :D

At some point I'll try the M-22 ammo again in my 15-22, just won't do it at the Tactical .22 match.

quit wasting your time. buy cci mini-mags if you want to spend more. otherwise stick with cci blazer or federal bulk.

I picked up some M22 a few days ago.
Runs no better or worse than the Fed Bulk in my 15-22 with minute of the 6" gong @ 40 yds no problem.

Also, ran 100% in my Walther P22 that to this date (7 yrs and 10,000 rds) has never had a single issue with any ammo other than the to be expect dud.

I will buy this again...along with bulk CCI mini mags and Federal.

Yep... What wOady said... I can't say it enough either... after all 22 ammo is cheap compared to any other ammo.
