I went to Bass Pro today. I picked up a couple of boxes of Winchester SXZ for my SD40 VE. I've only ran a box of WWB through it so far. WWB is 22.95 a box around here right now. I got the SXZ for 20.99 today. I have no experience with it but thought for times like they are and prices like they are they were worth a try. I got home a researched them a little on line and they seem like the same as the WWB but with the lubalox coating. So it seems for now that I made an OK purchase. I see where some of you guys have shot it in the 9mm but I didn't see anything about the 40 cal.

I have four boxes but have yet to try it. Please post your results after you test it out at the range. I would like to know how it compares. I am guessing it should not be much different than the WWB.

You are exactly right. It's just standard Win USA economy ammo with the black Lubalox coating.

Well it ran great... I shot a whole box of the FMJ and a magazine of the Personal Protection. It all ran without a hiccup. A friend and I shot at some drinking cans down by the creek this morning and we were both pretty accurate. The Winchester SXZ and the S&W SD40 VE is a winning combination. I'll pick up another box next time I'm at Bass Pro. And I do recommend to a friend.
