As I mentioned in my rant, I was in Academy Sports and Outdoors today. I was looking at an AR-15 made by a company I never heard of called Windham Weaponry. Got home, looked them up and to my surprise, these are the original Bushmaster people in the Windham, ME factory. Seems that when Richard Dyke sold Bushmaster to Cerberus in 2006, he signed a 5 year non-compete agreement. He also didn't sell the factory, just leased it to the new Bushmaster owners. So now they moved Bushmaster to NY and laid off all the Maine employees leaving the factory and everything behind. Re-enter Richard Dyke who still owned the property and with some investors, they rehired about half the laid-off Bushmaster employees to start. His 5 year agreement has expired and they are back to making ARs in the old Bushmaster factory.
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these new ARs and if you would recommend them as I'm seriously considering one.

The fine and interesting member twaits worked for

the original Bushmaster and then the buyers who moved the

production and currently works with Windham.

He is very pleased and positive about the products and quality of the new rifles.;)

I think he has posted a few things about the new-original owners.
