Tomorrow I check in for a hernia operation. It's a lower right groin that is causing all sorts of side fun.

While waiting to get in I've had the worst sneezing cold ever. I can't remember the last time I caught a cold. Then I wrenched my lower back and the latest is bursitis in the right hip.

Thanks

I had one when I was a baby(must have been a heavy bottle). Then another in my late 40's. Don't remember the first and had no issues with the second. They used some kind of mesh for it and it has worked well. There was some pain for a couple days but the worst issue I had was the anesthesia locking my bowels up for 5 days.

Good luck on your surgery. Had 3 repaired June 18th. You'll want to get over the sneezes and coughing before the surgery, hurts like hell to do either afterward. Hardest less I learned the hard way, don't try to sit up in bed or from couch. Curl up in a fetal position and then roll upright. Most folks report great success with this surgery and if they are doing Laparoscopic will normally shorten recovery time as opposed to an open incision.

Prayers up for neat work and a speedy heal for Bill.
The entire base of my inguinal canal was gone when I went for the repair maybe 5 years ago.
You'll feel better pretty quick and be tempted to push things.
Don't. And get a cane for the git 'er up's.
As for the sneeze or cough, check with the doc as I believe you can't blow the repair but it will hurt like hell.

Wishing you the best. Things come in threes sometimes and if true, you should be looking at three good things happening now!

Back in 2015 did a triple ... one on the right side, one higher up and a big one on the left. The doctor used mesh. Absolutely excellent results! Very pleased. Follow post-surgical instructions. You will be very happy with the results. God bless you. Will pray for you. Sincerely. bruce.
