Worst beer?

Didn't Lone Star have a picture of a horse, standing on his hind legs,
on the label? It was said it was the only beer with a picture of the
brewery on the label.

Olympia, it was said, was like making love in a canoe. Think about it

Coors. 55 years ago you could only get it out west. So a classmate did a beer run from Illinois. Brought back cases. Had one can. A lot like sparkling water.
One of life's big disappointments.

It's a good thing I don't drink anymore, cause the beer snobs would sure look down on me.

I never stooped to malt liquor, but Hamms was my favorite for a number of years.

WHOAA!!! Now if we are talking malt liquor. When I wanted to take the express line to an alcohol induced stupor my choice was Mickey's Mean Green in the hand grenade shaped big mouth bottles. If I started on Mickey's I was pretty much guaranteed to do something stupid.

Brown Derby or Katz Premium. Local to Kansas City. 10 cents a can in the 1960's. 5 cents when it went on sale.

Katz? Is it still available? My grandpa was the liquor manager for a Katz drug store in STL in the 60's-70's.

Thought that was a name in history only.

I don't drink beer but heard Stag was pretty bad.
It is still sold in the STL area and across the river in Illinois.

Was Falstaff any good?

Drank a lot of Rainier when I was young, quite a bit from kegs.

Heidelberg and Brew 66 were pretty bad. But $3.99 1/2-racks met the budget of my thin wallet back then.

I remember this stuff,It would gag a Maggot but when your young and dumb you drink what you can get.

In honor of Burt Reynolds passing you need to watch "Smokey and the Bandit". The ultimate Coors run.

Back in the day, whenever visiting family back east, we had to bring a couple cases of Coors along.

Shows how much I know/knew, I always thought Hamms was higher grade beer. At least as I recall it was more expensive than what I was buying. Hamms was like a special treat.

I don't remember, but I loved it. Smooth taste.

Apparently none of you all have had any of the "stuff" my Uncle Dick used to brew. Said it kept him regular.

My grandfather brewed his own during prohibition.

I took a stab at home brew once and the only reason it isn't the worst beer I've ever tasted is that I was unsure whether it was beer at all.

No such thing as a bad beer to me. I haven't had a drink since 11/09/2007. Beer makes me bad.

Ps. And I don't blame alcohol. Just like other potentially harmful things, no beer ever forced me to drink it.
