I haven't read anything in this thread to change my opinion. No permit is required to open carry in Colorado and that's what I'd say.

If the issue were pushed even a little I'd leave

Gary, let's look at this logically.

- The entire purpose of the CCW badge is to "put people at ease" that the person wearing it is a "good guy".
- When people see a badge on a belt with a gun, what does the average person think? Do they think "civilian gun carrier" or do they think "LEO"?
- In essence they are doing it to look like LEOs so that nobody will freak out or question their carrying a gun.
- MA police take a very dim view of anyone other than them wearing a badge. There is a recently reported case of an arrest of a Constable wearing a badge for "impersonating an officer" . . . it won't go anywhere only because we are officers, but the police will try. I know of another case where a Constable was on Devens property (Federal no-no), serving papers and carrying a gun . . . one of the charges was impersonating an officer due to the badge (I never heard what happened to this case).

Having worked as a part-time police officer for 17 years I know them well and how they think. I'll stand by what I stated and the person won't slither out of it just because it doesn't say police on it.

I would leave My Cart full of whatever and leave the Store,Nobody has the right to Card Me except Law Enforcement.
