What's wrong with the way he's dressed? Looks OK to me. Maybe I just need to get out more. I don't really get off too much on the open carry thing. My kids and grand kids wouldn't see anything out of the ordinary about the guy. God bless America.

I can see how that could happen, especially if you were wearing a ball cap and had a leaf blower strapped on your back. Or ridin' a big yellow Scag.
Heh heh, a leaf-blower is for the lazy--I used an old-fashoined straw broom with metal dustpan and a garbage bag.
The last time I rode a skag of anykind--I was bucked off and landed in a cactus patch.
Actually happened to when Nellie threw me off in order to run back to the stables where she knew supper was waiting.

Im exempt from that. Why would I be wearing a type of gun I have no interest with-when I have several that suits my purposes exaactly.I wouldnt be wearing one of those no matter what? the guns I wear would be shooting at least a .45 sized round.

I'm afraid I go with the "look at me" syndrome. Most places we
are starting to get gun rights back. It's been a up hill battle all
the way. All we need is one of these people to screw up and it
reflects badly on everyone. In certain cases open carry is ok.
If I came through the door to rob that lunch counter, I would
see that guy immediately. He would be shot or disarmed. Not
contributing to the public safety. Bad guys would have another
gun. Concealed makes more sense and as far as the public, if
they can't see it, it doesn't bother them, cause only you know

Taking you hat off is a Christian cultural nuance. Some cultures never invented the hat, others always wear them.
My wife work with many emigrants, European, African, from the Americas. Most all of the have a different sense of style, and really poor taste in side arms!

I always fail to understand the previous judging of someone who open carries. First off some would have no other option, second some find it more comfortable. We should get over the cc elitism and support anyone who carries any way they choose as long they're not doing something dangerous or terribly stupid.

Where does a person with a nice hat store the hat while in a restaurant? I haven't saw a place in years that had hat or coat racks but maybe I don't get to town very often. An inquiring mind wants to know. Larry

It's not so much Christian as a sign of friendship similar to raising a visor. Comes from knights. Passing knights would lift the visor on their helmet to show their face, which ment they were friendly and not looking to do battle. This later became a salute as helmets and visors went away. Taking the helmet off was ment the same but it was done while stationary. ....when the meeting is more than just passing each other by on the street. So when a knight would enter a house or be with a group he would take his helmet off to show he didn't come with hostile intentions
Also the same reason we shake hands. In ancient times it was a way to show each other that you were not hiding a knife or a dagger in your Palm or sleeve

Seems to me that people just don't care about their appearance anymore.
In fact some go out of their way to look sloppy.

That reminds me of a guy that went to AZ from another state and asked a local LEO if his concealed carry permit would be accepted there.
The LEO told him "No. AZ does not allow cc. But anyone can carry openly." Don't jump all over me it the laws have changed, but that's the way I heard it used to was.
He isn't really at The Table, and if you look close, I don't see one person that Isn't wearing a hat.He oughta take his hat off at the table, too. Tsk.
