TRADED, NO LONGER AVAILABLE
When I say unique, boy howdy.
This is a Smith and Wesson 28-2 Highway Patrolman. It started it's life as a blued four inch revolver. It was sent back to the Smith and Wesson factory, along with a 27-2 three and a half inch nickel barrel. The gunsmiths at the factory installed the barrel and the whole revolver was refinished in nickel. I bought it from a very kind board member here.
There are no outward signs the revolver has been refinished (no flat barrel pin or side plate screws, no dished side plate holes, no diminishing roll marks), an A+ job done at the factory. It has a target hammer a smooth target trigger and a red ramp front sight. Absolutly no end shake, timing is excellent, and it locks up very tight.
This is my favorite revolver. It sports a set of Grashorn Elk stag stocks with S&W medallions installed. As you know, S&W never producd a three and a half inch Model 28 and only a few left the factory with an orginal nickel finish. This is not some rare or collectable revolver, but a unique orphan none the less.
I am looking for a 28-2, 4 inch barrel. I would like the finish to be at least 95%. I also have a very nice Black Hills Leather holster I could include if you have a 4 inch holster to trade also.
No cash sell. This is my only N frame and I will not be N frameless
. Please PM all trade offers.
And one taken outside.
A real bad pic of the holster.
