Is it X-treme bullets? If so I have shot many of their plated bullets in competition over the years. I have never shot for groups just for "minute of A-zone" and am very happy with them. It's not uncommon to have double taps in one hole.
I use .357, 9mm, 10mm, .41, .44, and .45.
The company is good to deal with and if you shop sales they have good deals with free shipping.
I used to shoot alot of lead bullets. Mostly Penns. When Xtremes first came out they had free shipping, I have been using them with no problems for a few years.
Right now this weekend they are having a July 4th sale. 10% off with free shipping. They will probably have the same sale for Labor day.
Other time they are on the web site Gun deals from Cabela's with free shipping.
I have shot X-Treme plated bullets in .38 special and .45 acp with various profiles (RN, TC, and SWC). My groups were a little better with Berry's, but the X-Tremes were more competitively priced.
I have shot a lot of them. Had trouble with one batch, right after the plague was going away. I had a batch of 230 RN plated with a fair number of really messed up noses. They made good on them immediately with zero squawk. I had maybe 20 really funky ones in one box. They sent me another full box immediately on the house. Good people to do business with and a good product.
I shoot 9mm, .38, .357, .40, 10mm, .44 mag and .45 in both ACP and Long Colt varieties. I have used many thousands of Xtreme bullets and happy with each one. Quality surpasses Berry's imo. I did have one minor hiccup with one box, also during during Fauci's reign of terror, where 5 or 6 .40 cal bullets wound up in a box of 9mm. Other than that, flawless over the years.
Glad that was cleared up ... for a moment I thought they might have had someone in customer service with a lisp.
"Ex-Theme bulleths" "How may I athist you?"
I don't have anything but good to say about X-treme Bullets. Fair priced and their bullets look and shoot great. I've used their 9mm, 158gr 38, and their 148gr wadcutters are wonderful.
I've had good experience with their products.
Some people have reported issues with the plating "peeling" or "separating" from the lead core - creating accuracy issues, but from what I have seen and read that seems to be limited to situations where they are being pushed beyond manufacturer recommendations.
Xtreme says not to load their standard copper-plated bullets to speeds greater than 1200fps. As long as you follow that guideline you should be GTG with these bullets.
