Checking for a friend who has an old family gun - what is the year made for a K-38 5 Screw Serial # K99xxx (6 digits total) .

Guessing pre-1950 from what I have been able to read on.

According to SCSW serial# K84150-K104047 are from 1950. Your K38 falls in that range. Hope this helps.
