It was in the 60s and rainy last week in Ada, Ok. While was attending g the CLEET Firearms Instructor School. I was cold in July........in Oklahoma.....weird.

Hey Caj, it is about the same here in MN this morning 75 degrees with 83% humidity. Enjoy the AC!
Dave

We're in the mid to high 90's (It's cooled off) About 75 at 5:30 AM Air quality: Unbreathable, due to smoke and ashes.

6:45a.m. 76 degrees and 96% humidity-just don't get any better :D

There is something magical about high summer along the Gulf Coast, and the moist warmth. The sweat flows freely keeping your skin pores washed out. No worry about dry skin here. I expect it will make it up to the low 90s here. I also expect that I will be able to just reach out and grab a hunk of air. I will be able to wring the water out of that air just like wringing a washrag. Life is great. :o

After last winter nothing short of a flood or heat that bubbled the blacktop would get my attention.

I have always wondered how people replenish themselves in the south. In that hot humid weather,----yuck!

Been a cool summer in Michigan this year after a long and brutal winter. Last week I even wore a light jacket a couple days but in the 80s this week.
I lived in Mississippi for a year and remember the high temps and humidity on the gulf coast. Had an old Rambler station wagon with no A/C and lived in an old trailer with a window unit. Too poor on an E-2's salary to run it much and a brutal summer it was.
Hope you folks in the south can stay cool and this is when I do like living in the north.

Eighty six and 74 percent humidity in Da U.P.

We are supposed to be air conditioned "naturally" here by
Lake Superior. Somebody must have switched that system off
this week.

It's the humidity that gets me.
I lived in Northern Florida for a few months 30 years ago without using the air conditioning much. Couldn't do it now. Maybe not even with air
running 24/7.

94* with a heat index of 100* as I write this. At least it's a little cooler today. I'm working outside today so I'm looking at two or three showers and clothes changes. I'll soak a few bandanas while outside. Lot's of ice water until 5:00 p.m. You get used to it. When I was younger we had no house or car A/C. They wouldn't A/C the schools back then either. Just a small window unit in the principal's office.

Hey don't forget the gnats! I remember sitting in school puffing and puffing to blow those damn things away. Eastern NC is great in the summer.

Around here 96% humidity means it's raining.

A10 is right - the firefighters in Central Washington have been fighting in 100+ degree temps with winds in the 30 mph range. They need all the help mother nature can give them. As of this morning the largest fire had burned over a quarter of a million acres. The "little" ones further south were "only" about 10,000 and 20,000 acres apiece.
