Hi-New here-was searching for info and browser sent me here-
I have a .357 that sat in a drawer for 40 years- Stainless, 6 rounds, adjustable rear sight ( although I can’t get it lined up that well with bore laser), 2 1/2” barrel, 5” butt to hammer, weighs 34 oz. Serial # is visible through a slot in the butt- only fired a few dozen times-the bark was terrible with the hearing protection of the era.
Serial # ( not positive about the “B” ) is BKA6888- would be grateful for any information about it-
Thanks guys!
Mark

Lessee, 40 years old puts it in the mid 1980's. Stainless steel and .357 caliber narrows it down to a model 65 or 66.
Adjustable rear sight further narrows it down to a model 66.
So, it sounds like you have a a snub-nosed model 66-1 or possibly a 66-2 with a 2-1/2" barrel. Unfortunately, I don't have access to my copy of the SCSW at the moment, so I can't look up your serial number to narrow it down any further than that,
If you can post some pictures of your revolver that will help the forum experts identify it and give you more info.

Open it and look at the model # and dash on the yoke. There were no pre-model number Smiths produced in stainless.
