Yeti

Walmart sells some drink coolers that come from the same factory in China that makes the yeti.

I myself don't particularly want a stainless steel travel mug but if I did I would have tried the Harbor Freight offering at $5 before spending $30 on a Yeti.

Yeti is a Texas based company. I will be emailing them this morning to express my displeasure. If they disavow the NRA, they have sold their last product to me.

Here is their contact info Contact Us | YETI

I sent them a message last night.....told Yeti corporate there were plenty of their competitors that had better products and Yeti products were not needed.

Also, let them know that they just "sold-out" millions of law abiding gun owners and sportsmen that would no longer be buying their over-priced products.

Me contacting them may not change a thing.....but it did make me feel good.:D

I don't quite understand all the Yeti detractors.

Most people probably didn't pay much attention to Yeti. They either bought Yeti products or they didn't. They were seldom a topic for serious conversation. Most people seemed pleased with the products. Except for price, maybe.

But once they became painted with the anti-gun-anti-NRA brush, they instantly morphed into another corporate bogey man, and the haters come out of the woodwork like squirrels in the woods who've heard the hunters have gone.

As I said in an earlier post, I never bought Yeti products simply because I considered them to be too expensive for what they are. My choice was, and remains, based on economics, not their corporate policies.

Using common sense, are we?

That will put you in "no man's land".:D

Using common sense, are we?

I was hoping no one would notice.

Right!

Poor Yeti...why should they be held accountable for their own
corporate policies?

Here is the response I received from yeti;

We're writing in response to your recent email inquiry.

A few weeks ago, YETI notified the NRA Foundation, as well as a number of other organizations, that we were eliminating a group of outdated discounting programs. When we notified the NRA Foundation and the other organizations of this change, YETI explained that we were offering them an alternative customization program broadly available to consumers and organizations, including the NRA Foundation. These facts directly contradict the inaccurate statement the NRA-ILA distributed on April 20.

Further, the NRA-ILA stated in that same public communication that "[YETI has] declined to continue helping America's young people enjoy outdoor recreational activities." Nothing is further from the truth. YETI was founded more than 10 years ago with a passion for the outdoors, and over the course of our history we have actively and enthusiastically supported hunters, anglers and the broader outdoor community. We have been devoted to and will continue to directly support causes tied to our passion for the outdoors, including by working with many organizations that promote conservation and management of wildlife resources and habitat restoration. From our website to our film footage and from our social media posts to our ambassadors, YETI has always prominently featured hunters pursuing their passions. Moreover, YETI is unwavering in our belief in and commitment to the Constitution of the United States and its Second Amendment.

Thanks for reaching out to YETI.

Didn’t take long for Pelican to see an opportunity
Pelican Coolers Loves The NRA[/url

Here is a corrected link for you. [URL="http://sellingthesecondamendment.com/pelican-coolers-loves-nra/"]<<<LINK>>>

And Pelican is making the most out of Yeti's decision and getting some good advertising in, according to that page. They say they will donate $10 to the NRA when you "make a purchase and use promo code PELICANPROUD". Doesn't cost them too much and gives them some damned good PR and goodwill from NRA members.

I received that too......Based on the timing of YETI's move to stop partnering with the NRA I'm inclined to believe the NRA's announcement and "not" YETI's attempt to save face and customers.
