You get all hot and bothered about a gun you seen on GB, then two days later, while going thru your safe, you see that you already have one....doh..

I get a similar feeling when GB is selling a gun for 3 or 4 times what I paid for mine. Do I keep it or sell it??? Keep, of course.

There's a BIG gap between asking and getting.
Believe it or not, it can be a real problem, especially the older you become. I started using an Excel spread sheet to keep track of what I have, what I have gotten rid of, and where it went. The spread sheet gets checked frequently.I wish I had such a problem that I had so many guns I couldn't remember what I had or didn't have.
My wife and i was at a Flee Market and there were a lot of guns There. If i could sale my small collection for people were asking for their stuff i could have fun buying mine again and have extra cash to buy some different ones.

Besides all the pertinent info like serial number and description, I also have the approximate value so my son will know what things are worth on my eventual demise.I should do that because of my milsurp habit. If I keep over and somebody is selling them for my wife, simply calling them Mausers or Enfields misses the whole point for collectors.
