Your 4" N frames

Hadn't owned a 4" N frame since selling my 29-2 many years ago, so finally got about to building one. 629-3 bought with a 6.5" barrel and a scope mounted. Now it's fun to shoot.

I am challenged in 4" barrel N frames. The only 1 I currently have is a 625-8, JM. Really like it. 29-2, 4" is gone. It was a beauty. Have 6" N frames also. Bob

I only have two, a Model 25 in .45 Colt and a Model 27 Classic. Let's see what I have in pictures.....

M25 with elk grips made by bigmtnman

I have elk stocks by bgmtnman for this gun, too.

Same two guns side by side but before the 25-5 got elk stocks

Here's a larger picture of the 25-5 with the original stocks

This one is fun. If it wasn't for the front sights I could tell these two apart although I am sure some of y'all can.

Of my two N-frames, my Mountain Gun has the 4-inch barrel. A very sweet shooting revolver. I have shot some IDPA with my Mountain Gun. Not a bad revolver for IDPA. Of course, compared to the other handguns at the match, it looks like a cannon!

Thanks for looking at my N-frame with 4-inch barrel.

God bless,

I've got about a dozen N Frames but only three with 4" barrels. What a shame since I love that barrel length.

Oops, wrong manual/spec sheet on the first revolver. It is a Model 29-2 in factory nickel.

4" 4th model paired with a 5" HPD marked 3rd model W&K

Mod 57, unfired, NIB, 2nd month production.

44-41. Its a one up on the 44-40. Mod 58 with rebored bbl to .429, 44 mag cyl. Hammer is clipped a bit and it is a brute to shoot.

4" 27-2 with gorgeous grips.

And a 4" 44mag mountain gun - no pics.

My only 4" N's were built way later than most of the stunning beauties posted.
A 610-2, and a somewhat scarce 627-5. They're the only 8-round 627s with a standard barrel that were produced.

These are both great for woods carry.

Four-inch N-Frames are my favorite way to do N-Frames. So why do I only have a single 4-inch N-Frame at present?

A Heavy Duty shown here with its smaller brethren from the early to mid-1950s, about a three-year span represented here. All in .38 Special.
