We recently had a topic on what your screen names mean that was quite interesting, and gave me some insite into my fellow members.
I think a good follow up would be about our own avatars. Is is simply a pic of our favorite S&W. Is it a neat photo or movie still that we like, or does it have some other meaning.
I'll start. Mine is an aerial photo of the family farm in New Brunswick, Canada. It was taken from a WWI era biplane by a friend of my Great Uncle (Grandmother's brother) around WWII. In it you can see the buildings that my Great Grandfather built with hand tools and help from friends. All of them including the house. You can also see my great Grandfather's black Dodge, near the hen house.
Electricity was added to the house in either the 50's or 60's, IIRC. Indoor plumbing didn't come along until the early 90's. I have lots of good memories there as a teenager in the 80's. The house is now gone. In it's place is a thoughly modern mobile home where my aunt (Mom's brother's widow) still lives with two of her adult children.
Sorry, but the image gets to pixelated if I try to make it any larger.
Your turn. Who's next?
