Your Last S&W Revolver Acquisition???

Picked up a 629 Classic 6" at the last gun show, box and papers, barely a turn line for 600$.:)
Mounted a Burris fast fire 8 moa on a Raptor mount, shooting 3" groups at 100' now that deer season is here I hope to put some venison on the table with it.
The Fast Fire is great for old eyes...

The first gun I ever owned was a 4" model 10 RHKP trade in. I had been renting various plastic fantastics and semi autos from my LGS in Baltimore when it popped up. It was love at first shot, I miss that gun dearly as I sold it to help fund my one way trip to Alaska.

I've tried to find a good rimfire gun that I like and just haven't had one stick. I've owned and sold, borrowed, and rented many: a 22/45, a Ruger mk1 and standard mk3, buckmarks, sr22, bersa ppk clone 22's, most recent and closest to the mark a Rossi m511 small frame 6 shot 22. Nice enough gun but the grip and grip to trigger distance just felt too small in my hand.

A brand new model 17-9 had been sitting in a LGS for over a year and I've been drooling over it since it came in. Earlier this week they marked it down and today I walked out with it for $600 after trading in the Rossi.

Can't wait to get it to the range Friday!

It joins its bigger brothers, a well worn 10-5 2" and my 357 LCR

Came near unfired, dirty, dusty but not rusty on a dried out shoddy Pachmayr. Found a extra nice set of grips right here. Never owned a 4'' 44. It's is very accurate but definitely a stout barker.

Waiting to take delivery of a 1967 Model 14-3 K38 6''. That will be a soft shooter and hopefully bullseye capable.

I need only 2 more: a 17 6'' and 17 8 3/8 and then NO MORE

My latest...

My latest acquisition was a two-fer. I purchased/ traded for two model 28s. One is a 28 from 1958 and the other is a 28-2 from 1971. Both are unfired in the box. Now I'm looking for the elusive 28-1.

After 20 years of saying "that's too much for a 22" I switched up and said "damit, I want one", and bought it. I even like it now that I have it.

I bought a used Model 63 in April.
Mine is probably a little older since it has the green front sight.
I just put a Hogue grip on it like I put on my Model 60, but don't have any pics yet with the new grip.

With the right load you can shoot perfect groups all day long with that 629-1.
